حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقُدُّوسِ بْنُ بَكْرِ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجٌ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى جَاوَزَ بِهِمَا أُذُنَيْهِ قَالَ قُرِئَ عَلَى سُفْيَانَ وَأَنَا شَاهِدٌ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَجْلَانَ وَزِيَادَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْعُو هَكَذَا وَعَقَدَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ.
English Translation
'Abd al-Quddus ibn Bakr ibn Khunays told us, he said: Hajjaj informed us, from 'Amir ibn 'Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr, from his father, who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, open the prayer by raising his hands until they passed his ears. He said: It was read to Sufyan while I was present: I heard Ibn 'Ajlan and Ziyad ibn Sa'd, from 'Amir ibn 'Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr, from his father, who said: I saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, supplicate like this — and Ibn al-Zubayr made a gesture with his finger.
