English Translation
He said: Abu Nu'aym narrated to us: Sufyan narrated to us from Ata', from Harb ibn Ubaydullah al-Thaqafi, from his maternal uncle, who said: I came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and mentioned certain things to him, and asked him, saying: Shall I take a tithe from them? He said: The tithes are only upon the Jews and the Christians; there is no tithe upon the people of Islam.
