حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ شَرِيكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَوْحٍ الْكَلَاعِيِّ قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةً فَقَرَأَ فِيهَا سُورَةَ الرُّومِ فَلَبَسَ عَلَيْهِ بَعْضُهَا قَالَ إِنَّمَا لَبَسَ عَلَيْنَا الشَّيْطَانُ الْقِرَاءَةَ مِنْ أَجْلِ أَقْوَامٍ يَأْتُونَ الصَّلَاةَ بِغَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ فَإِذَا أَتَيْتُمْ الصَّلَاةَ فَأَحْسِنُوا الْوُضُوءَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شَبِيبًا أَبَا رَوْحٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ فَقَرَأَ فِيهَا الرُّومَ فَأَوْهَمَ فَذَكَرَهُ.
English Translation
Ishaq ibn Yusuf narrated to us from Sharik, from Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr, from Abu Rawh al-Kala'i, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, led us in a prayer, and recited in it Surat al-Rum, but became confused in part of it. He said: Satan only confuses us in recitation because of people who come to prayer without proper ablution; so when you come to prayer, perform ablution well. Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us: Shu'bah narrated to us from Abd al-Malik ibn Umayr, he said: I heard Shabib Abu Rawh narrate from a man among the Companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he prayed the dawn prayer and recited in it al-Rum, and became uncertain, and he mentioned it.
