حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ وَسُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْجُوَيْرِيَةِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْجُوَيْرِيَةِ عَنْ مَعْنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَا وَأَبِي وَجَدِّي وَخَاصَمْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَأَفْلَجَنِي وَخَطَبَ عَلَيَّ فَأَنْكَحَنِي.
English Translation
Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik and Surayj ibn al-Nu'man narrated to us: Abu Awanah narrated to us from Abu al-Juwayriyah - and Affan narrated to us: Abu Awanah narrated to us: Abu al-Juwayriyah narrated to us, from Ma'n ibn Yazid, who said: I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, I and my father and my grandfather, and I brought a dispute before him and he ruled in my favor, and he sought a wife for me in marriage and married me to her.
