English Translation
My father narrated to me from Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim al-Zuhri, who said: I heard my father narrate from Yazid - meaning Ibn al-Had - from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Harith, from Suhayl ibn Bayda', who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, called out one night, while I was riding behind him: 'O Suhayl ibn Bayda'!' - raising his voice repeatedly until those behind us and in front of us heard, so they gathered, knowing that he wished to say something: 'Whoever says there is no god but God, God, Mighty and Sublime, makes Paradise obligatory for him through it, and frees him thereby from the Fire.' Harun narrated to us: Ibn Wahb narrated to us: Haywah [said]: Yazid ibn al-Had narrated to me from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, from Sa'id ibn al-Salt, from Suhayl ibn al-Bayda' of the Banu Abd al-Dar, who said: While we were on a journey with the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him - and he mentioned something similar.
