حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْعَامِلُ فِي الصَّدَقَةِ بِالْحَقِّ لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كَالْغَازِي فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ.
English Translation
Ya'la ibn Ubayd told us: Muhammad - meaning Ibn Ishaq - told us, from Asim ibn Umar, from Rafi' ibn Khadij, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "The worker who collects charity rightfully, for the sake of Allah, Mighty and Glorious, is like one fighting in the way of Allah, Mighty and Glorious, until he returns to his family."
