English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ubayd told us, saying: Ubaydullah told us, from Nafi', from Ibn Umar, that he opened a door and a snake came out of it, so he ordered it killed. Abu Lubabah said to him: "Do not do that, for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade killing the snakes that live in houses."
