قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَإِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ الْجَزَرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَجْمَعُوا اسْمِي وَكُنْيَتِي.
English Translation
[The narrator] said: Abd al-Rahman told us, from Sufyan, and Ishaq, from Sufyan - Sufyan said - from Abd al-Karim al-Jazari, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Amrah, from his uncle, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not combine my name and my kunyah [together]."
