حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ قَالَ جَاءَ أَبُو سُلَيْمَانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ الْحُوَيْرِثِ إِلَى مَسْجِدِنَا فَقَالَ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأُصَلِّي وَمَا أُرِيدُ الصَّلَاةَ وَلَكِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُرِيَكُمْ كَيْفَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي قَالَ فَقَعَدَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الْأُولَى حِينَ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنْ السَّجْدَةِ الْأَخِيرَةِ ثُمَّ قَامَ.
English Translation
Malik ibn al-Huwairith came to our mosque and said: 'By Allah, I am praying not because I intend the prayer, but because I want to show you how I saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) pray.' He sat in the first rak'ah when he raised his head from the last prostration, then he stood up.
