حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ ذَرٍّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ أَصْبَحْنَا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَكَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ وَدِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمِلَّةِ أَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ.
English Translation
Abd al-Rahman told us, from Shu'bah, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from Dharr, from Sa'id ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, from his father, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say, "We have entered the morning upon the natural disposition of Islam, the word of sincere devotion, and the religion of our Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and the creed of our father Abraham, a man of pure faith, and he was not among the polytheists."
