حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ زُرَارَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِسَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى وَقُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ وَقُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ فَإِذَا سَلَّمَ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ الْمَلِكِ الْقُدُّوسِ يَقُولُهَا ثَلَاثًا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَزْرَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِ هَذَا قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي زُبَيْدٌ وَسَلَمَةُ بْنُ كُهَيْلٍ سَمِعَا ذَرًّا يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ هَذَا.
English Translation
Abu Dawud told us, Shu'bah told us: Qatadah informed us, he said: I heard Zurarah narrating from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to perform the witr prayer with "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High," "Say: O disbelievers," and "Say: He is Allah, One"; and when he gave the salutation, he would say "Glory be to the King, the Most Holy," saying it three times. Abu Dawud al-Tayalisi told us, Shu'bah told us, from Qatadah, from Azrah, from Sa'id ibn Abd al-Rahman, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, similarly. He said: Zubayd and Salamah ibn Kuhayl informed me that they heard Dharr narrating from Ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Abza, from his father, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, likewise.
