Abd al-Samad told us, my father told us, Isma'il ibn Umayyah told us, from al-Zuhri, who said: We discussed temporary marriage — the temporary marriage of women — in the presence of Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, and al-Rabi ibn Sabrah said: I heard my father say: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, at the Farewell Pilgrimage, forbidding temporary marriage.
