حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ قَالَ نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَبِيعَ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدِي قَالَ أَيُّوبُ أَوْ قَالَ سِلْعَةً لَيْسَتْ عِنْدِي.
English Translation
Isma'il ibn Ibrahim told us: Ayyub informed us, from Yusuf ibn Mahak, from Hakim ibn Hizam, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade me to sell what I do not have with me. Ayyub said: or he said, "a commodity that is not with me."
