English Translation
Surayj - meaning Ibn al-Nu'man - told us, Abu Awanah told us, from Abu Bishr, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, asked his household for a relish. They said: "We have nothing but vinegar." He said: So he called for it and began to eat with it, saying: "What an excellent relish vinegar is, what an excellent relish vinegar is."
