حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْوَسْمِ فِي الْوَجْهِ وَالضَّرْبِ فِي الْوَجْهِ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Bakr told us, Ibn Jurayj told us, Abu al-Zubayr informed me that he heard Jabir ibn 'Abdullah saying: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade branding on the face and striking on the face.
