English Translation
Abu al-Jawwab told us, Ammar ibn Ruzayq told us, from al-A'mash, from Abu Sufyan, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, prepared an army one night until half the night had passed, or nearly so, then he came out and said: The people have prayed and gone to sleep, while you are still waiting for this prayer. Indeed, you remain in a state of prayer so long as you are waiting for it.
