حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَابِرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْفَارُّ مِنْ الطَّاعُونِ كَالْفَارِّ مِنْ الزَّحْفِ وَالصَّابِرُ فِيهِ لَهُ أَجْرُ شَهِيدٍ.
English Translation
Qutaybah told us, Bakr ibn Mudar told us, from Amr ibn Jabir al-Hadrami, from Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The one who flees from the plague is like the one who flees from the battle line, and the one who bears it patiently has the reward of a martyr.
