حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَرْتَدُوا الصَّمَّاءَ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ وَلَا يَأْكُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ بِشِمَالِهِ وَلَا يَمْشِ فِي نَعْلٍ وَاحِدَةٍ وَلَا يَحْتَبِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ.
English Translation
Abd al-Wahhab told us, Hisham ibn Abi Abdullah informed us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir ibn Abdullah: that the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not wrap yourselves in a single garment leaving no opening, and let none of you eat with his left hand, nor walk in a single sandal, nor sit hugging his knees wrapped in a single garment."
