حَدَّثَنَا حُجَيْنٌ وَيُونُسُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُكُمْ الرُّؤْيَا يَكْرَهُهَا فَلْيَبْزُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثَلَاثًا وَقَالَ يُونُسُ فَلْيَبْصُقْ وَلْيَسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ ثَلَاثًا وَلْيَتَحَوَّلْ عَنْ جَنْبِهِ الَّذِي كَانَ عَلَيْهِ.
English Translation
Hujayn and Yunus told us, they said: al-Layth ibn Sa'd told us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "When one of you sees a dream he dislikes, let him spit to his left three times" - and Yunus said "let him spit" - "and seek refuge with Allah from Satan three times, and turn away from the side he was lying on."
