Hujayn and Yunus told us, they said: Layth ibn Sa'd told us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, had withdrawn from his wives for a month. He came out to us on the twenty-ninth day, and we said, "Today is only the twenty-ninth." He said, "The month may be so," and he clapped his hands three times, holding back one finger the last time. Yunus said: he used a different word for "one finger."
