حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَنْقُلُ مَعَهُمْ الْحِجَارَةَ لِلْكَعْبَةِ وَعَلَيْهِ إِزَارٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْعَبَّاسُ عَمُّهُ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي لَوْ حَلَلْتَ إِزَارَكَ فَجَعَلْتَهُ عَلَى مَنْكِبَيْكَ دُونَ الْحِجَارَةِ قَالَ فَحَلَّهُ فَجَعَلَهُ عَلَى مَنْكِبَيْهِ فَسَقَطَ مَغْشِيًّا عَلَيْهِ فَمَا رُئِيَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ عُرْيَانًا.
English Translation
Rawh told us, Zakariyya ibn Ishaq told us, 'Amr ibn Dinar told us: I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah say: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was carrying stones with them for the Ka'bah, wearing a waist-wrapper. His uncle al-'Abbas said to him, "O son of my brother, why not undo your waist-wrapper and put it on your shoulders, away from the stones?" He said: So he undid it and put it on his shoulders, then fell down unconscious. He was never seen naked after that day.
