حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ جَابِرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ وَسِتًّا مِنْ شَوَّالٍ فَكَأَنَّمَا صَامَ السَّنَةَ كُلَّهَا.
English Translation
Abu Abd al-Rahman told us, Sa'id told us, Amr ibn Jabir al-Hadrami told me, he said: I heard Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari say: I heard the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days of Shawwal, it is as if he fasted the whole year."
