حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءٌ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَاتَ الْيَوْمَ عَبْدٌ لِلَّهِ صَالِحٌ أَصْحَمَةُ فَقُومُوا فَصَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَامَ فَأَمَّنَا فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ.
English Translation
Yahya told us, from Ibn Jurayj: Ata' told us, from Jabir ibn Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A righteous servant of Allah, al-Ashamah (the Negus), died today; rise and pray over him." So he stood, led us, and prayed over him.
