حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ يَزْرَعَهَا أَوْ عَجَزَ عَنْهَا فَلْيَمْنَحْهَا أَخَاهُ الْمُسْلِمَ وَلَا يُؤَاجِرْهَا.
English Translation
Ishaq told us, Abd al-Malik told us, from Ata', from Jabir ibn Abdullah, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "Whoever has land, let him cultivate it; and if he is unable to cultivate it or cannot manage it, let him lend it to his Muslim brother, and let him not rent it out."
