English Translation
When this verse was revealed: 'You will never attain righteousness until you spend of what you love' (3:92), Abu Talhah said: 'I see that our Lord asks us for our wealth. I call You to witness, O Messenger of Allah, that I have given my garden at Bayruha as charity for Allah.' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Excellent! That is a profitable wealth. I have heard what you said, and I think you should distribute it among your relatives.' Abu Talhah distributed it among his relatives and cousins.
