حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ أُقِيمَتْ الصَّلَاةُ لِلْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لِي حَاجَةٌ فَقَامَ يُنَاجِيهِ حَتَّى نَعَسَ الْقَوْمُ أَوْ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ ثُمَّ صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ وُضُوءًا.
English Translation
'Affan told us, Hammad ibn Salamah told us, who said: Thabit told us, from Anas, who said: The call to prayer was given for the last night prayer one night, and a man said: "O Messenger of God, I have a need," so he stood conversing privately with him until the people, or some of the people, dozed off. Then he prayed, without mentioning a renewed ablution.
