حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الرَّازِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأَبِي عَيَّاشٍ زَيْدِ بْنِ صَامِتٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي وَهُوَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِأَنَّ لَكَ الْحَمْدَ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ يَا مَنَّانُ يَا بَدِيعَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقَدْ دَعَا اللَّهَ بِاسْمِهِ الْأَعْظَمِ الَّذِي إِذَا دُعِيَ بِهِ أَجَابَ وَإِذَا سُئِلَ بِهِ أَعْطَى.
English Translation
Ishaq ibn Ibrahim al-Razi told us, Salamah ibn al-Fadl told us, who said: Muhammad ibn Ishaq told me, from Abd al-Aziz ibn Muslim, from 'Asim, from Ibrahim ibn 'Ubayd ibn Rifa'ah, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by Abu 'Ayyash Zayd ibn al-Samit al-Zuraqi while he was praying, saying: "O God, I ask You, for to You belongs all praise, there is no god but You, O Bestower, O Originator of the heavens and the earth, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor." The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "He has called upon God by His greatest name, which, if called upon by it, He answers, and if asked by it, He gives."
