حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ اتَّكَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ ابْنَةِ مِلْحَانَ قَالَ فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَضَحِكَ فَقَالَتْ مِمَّ ضَحِكْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ مِنْ أُنَاسٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَرْكَبُونَ هَذَا الْبَحْرَ الْأَخْضَرَ غُزَاةً فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ مَثَلُهُمْ كَمَثَلِ الْمُلُوكِ عَلَى الْأَسِرَّةِ قَالَتْ ادْعُ اللَّهَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهَا مِنْهُمْ فَنَكَحَتْ عُبَادَةَ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ فَرَكِبَتْ فِي الْبَحْرِ مَعَ ابْنِهَا قَرَظَةَ حَتَّى إِذَا هِيَ قَفَلَتْ رَكِبَتْ دَابَّةً لَهَا بِالسَّاحِلِ فَوَقَصَتْ بِهَا فَسَقَطَتْ فَمَاتَتْ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى ابْنَةِ مِلْحَانَ فَاتَّكَأَ عِنْدَهَا فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ.
English Translation
Mu'awiyah ibn 'Amr told us, Za'idah told us, Abdullah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Ma'mar al-Ansari told us, who said: I heard Anas ibn Malik say: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, reclined at the house of the daughter of Milhan. He said: He raised his head and laughed, so she said: "What made you laugh, O Messenger of God?" He said: "Some people of my nation who will ride this green sea as warriors in the way of God, resembling kings upon thrones." She said: "Pray to God, O Messenger of God, to make me one of them." He said: "O God, make her one of them." So she married Ubadah ibn al-Samit. He said: She sailed on the sea with her son Qazazah, and when she returned she rode a mount of hers on the shore, and it threw her, and she fell and died. Mu'awiyah told us, Abu Ishaq told us, from Abdullah ibn Abd al-Rahman ibn Ma'mar, who said: I heard Anas say: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, entered upon the daughter of Milhan and reclined at her house, and he mentioned the like of it.
