حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ قَالَ أُقِيمَتْ الصَّلَاةُ فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِوَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ أَقِيمُوا صُفُوفَكُمْ وَتَرَاصُّوا فَإِنِّي أَرَاكُمْ مِنْ وَرَاءِ ظَهْرِي.
English Translation
Mu'awiyah told us, Za'idah told us, Humayd al-Tawil told us, Anas ibn Malik told us, who said: The call to prayer was made, and the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, turned his face to us and said: "Straighten your rows and stand close together, for I see you from behind my back."
