English Translation
Affan told us: Sulayman told us, from Thabit, from Anas ibn Malik, he said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to be delighted by a good dream. And sometimes he said: "If one of you sees a dream..." When a man whom the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did not know saw a dream, he would ask about him; if he was found to be sound, he would be more pleased by his dream. Then a woman came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I dreamed that I entered Paradise and heard a great thud that shook Paradise - so-and-so son of so-and-so and so-and-so son of so-and-so" - until she counted twelve men. They were brought, wearing worn garments, their jugular veins streaming with blood. It was said: "Take them to the river of al-Baydakh or al-Baydah," and they were dipped into it, and they came out of it with faces like the moon on the night of the full moon. Then they were brought golden chairs and sat upon them, and they were brought a large dish and ate from it - they did not turn it to one side without finding whatever fruit they wanted. Then the bearer of news came from that raiding party and said: "Such and such happened to us, and so-and-so and so-and-so were struck down" - until he counted twelve men, the same ones the woman had counted. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Bring me the woman - tell this man your dream." So she related it, and he said: "It is as she said."
