حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ الْمَدَايِنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي بِلَالُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا رَأَى الْهِلَالَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالْيُمْنِ وَالْإِيمَانِ وَالسَّلَامَةِ وَالْإِسْلَامِ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكَ اللَّهُ.
English Translation
Hadrat Bilal bin Yahya bin Talhah bin `Ubaidullah narrated, from his father, from his grandfather that when the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) saw the new moon, he would say: `O Allah, bring it over us with blessing and faith, and with soundness and Islam. My Lord and your Lord is Allah.”
