حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ كَانَ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيَانِ مِنْ مَالٍ لَابْتَغَى إِلَيْهِمَا ثَالِثًا وَلَا يَمْلَأُ جَوْفَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ.
English Translation
Surayj narrated to us, Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "If the son of Adam had two valleys of wealth, he would seek a third; and nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust, and Allah turns in forgiveness to whoever repents."
