حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زَاذَانَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ الْمُؤَذِّنَ أَوْ بِلَالًا كَانَ يُقِيمُ فَيَدْخُلُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَيَسْتَقْبِلُهُ الرَّجُلُ فِي الْحَاجَةِ فَيَقُومُ مَعَهُ حَتَّى تَخْفِقَ عَامَّتُهُمْ رُءُوسُهُمْ.
English Translation
Hasan ibn Musa told us: Umara - that is, Ibn Zadhan - told us: Thabit told us, from Anas ibn Malik, that the caller to prayer, or Bilal, would give the call to begin the prayer, and then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would come in, but a man would stop him with some need, and he would stand with him until most of the people were nodding their heads from drowsiness.
