حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْمُبَارَكِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَشْهَدُوا أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فَإِذَا شَهِدُوا أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَاسْتَقْبَلُوا قِبْلَتَنَا وَأَكَلُوا ذَبِيحَتَنَا وَصَلَّوْا صَلَاتَنَا فَقَدْ حَرُمَتْ عَلَيْنَا دِمَاؤُهُمْ وَأَمْوَالُهُمْ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهَا لَهُمْ مَا لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ وَعَلَيْهِمْ مَا عَلَيْهِمْ.
English Translation
‘Ali ibn Ishaq and al-Hasan ibn Yahya told us, they said: ‘Abdullah - meaning Ibn al-Mubarak - told us, he said: Humayd al-Tawil informed us, from Anas ibn Malik, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "I have been commanded to fight the people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. If they testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and they face our qiblah, eat our slaughtered animals, and pray our prayer, then their blood and their wealth become forbidden to us except by its due right. They have what the Muslims have, and upon them is what is upon the Muslims."
