حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ يَقُولُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْأَنْصَارِ أَفِيكُمْ أَحَدٌ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ قَالُوا ابْنُ أُخْتٍ لَنَا قَالَ ابْنُ أُخْتِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ أَوْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ.
English Translation
Hashim told us, Shu’bah told us, from Qatadah, who said: I heard Anas ibn Malik say, about the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said to the Ansar, "Is there among you anyone who is not one of you?" They said, "A sister’s son of ours." He said, "A sister’s son of a people belongs to them, or is one of themselves."
