حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ أَهْلَ مَكَّةَ سَأَلُوا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُرِيَهُمْ آيَةً قَالَ فَأَرَاهُمْ انْشِقَاقَ الْقَمَرِ مَرَّتَيْنِ.
English Translation
Abd al-Wahhab told us: Sa'id told us, from Qatada, from Anas ibn Malik, that the people of Makkah asked the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to show them a sign, so he showed them the splitting of the moon, twice.
