حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلَا يَتْفُلْ أَمَامَهُ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَإِنَّهُ يُنَاجِي رَبَّهُ وَلْيَتْفُلْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ قَدَمِهِ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Bakr told us: Sa'id informed us, from Qatada, from Anas, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When one of you is in his prayer, let him not spit in front of him nor to his right, for he is conversing intimately with his Lord; let him spit to his left or beneath his foot.
