حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا تَكَلَّمَ بِكَلِمَةٍ رَدَّدَهَا ثَلَاثًا وَإِذَا أَتَى قَوْمًا فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ سَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ ثَلَاثًا.
English Translation
Abd al-Samad told us: Abdullah ibn al-Muthanna told us, from Thumama, from Anas, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he spoke a word, would repeat it three times, and when he came to a people and greeted them, he would greet them three times.
