حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يَكُونَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِمَّا سِوَاهُمَا وَحَتَّى يُقْذَفَ فِي النَّارِ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يَعُودَ فِي الْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ أَنْ نَجَّاهُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ وَلَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ وَلَدِهِ وَوَالِدِهِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَنْصُورًا قَالَ سَمِعْتُ طَلْقَ بْنَ حَبِيبٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ.
English Translation
Rawh told us, Shu'bah told us, Qatadah told us, from Anas ibn Malik, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: None of you truly believes until Allah and His Messenger are dearer to him than anything else, and until being cast into the Fire is dearer to him than returning to disbelief after Allah has saved him from it, and none of you truly believes until I am dearer to him than his child, his father, and all people. Rawh told us, Shu'bah told us, who said: I heard Mansur say: I heard Talq ibn Habib narrate from Anas ibn Malik, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, the like of it.
