حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ قَالَ أَنَسٌ فَلَمَّا دَفَنَّا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرَجَعْنَا قَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ يَا أَنَسُ أَطَابَتْ أَنْفُسُكُمْ أَنْ دَفَنْتُمْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي التُّرَابِ وَرَجَعْتُمْ.
English Translation
Yazid told us: Hammad ibn Zayd told us: Thabit al-Bunani told us, Anas said, "When we had buried the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and returned, Fatimah said, 'O Anas, were your hearts content that you buried the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, in the earth and returned?'"
