حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا رِبْعِيُّ بْنُ الْجَارُودِ بْنِ أَبِي سَبْرَةَ التَّمِيمِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي الْحَجَّاجِ عَنِ الْجَارُودِ بْنِ أَبِي سَبْرَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ تَطَوُّعًا اسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ فَكَبَّرَ لِلصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ خَلَّى عَنْ رَاحِلَتِهِ فَصَلَّى حَيْثُمَا تَوَجَّهَتْ بِهِ.
English Translation
Yazid ibn Harun told us, he said: Rib'i ibn al-Jarud ibn Abi Sabrah al-Tamimi informed us, he said: 'Amr ibn Abi al-Hajjaj told me, from al-Jarud ibn Abi Sabrah, from Anas ibn Malik, who said, "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when he wished to pray a voluntary prayer on his mount, would face the qiblah and say the opening takbir for the prayer, then let his mount go free and pray in whatever direction it turned."
