English Translation
Yazid ibn Harun informed us: Humayd informed us, from Anas, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was wounded in the face on the day of Uhud, his lower incisor was broken, and he was struck a blow on his shoulders, so that blood began to flow down his face while he wiped it away, saying, "How can a people prosper who have done this to their Prophet while he calls them to Allah, Mighty and Majestic?" Then there was revealed: "Not for you is the decision, whether He turns toward them in forgiveness or punishes them," to the end of the verse.
