حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ مَعَ جَدِّي دَارَ الْإِمَارَةِ فَإِذَا دَجَاجَةٌ مَصْبُورَةٌ تُرْمَى فَكُلَّمَا أَصَابَهَا سَهْمٌ صَاحَتْ فَقَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُصْبَرَ الْبَهَائِمُ.
English Translation
Bahz narrated to us: Hammad narrated to us: Hisham ibn Zayd narrated to me, who said: I entered with my grandfather into the residence of the governor, and there was a hen tied up being shot at, and every time an arrow struck it, it cried out. He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade that animals be tied up as targets.
