English Translation
Abd ar-Rahman told us, Hammad ibn Salamah told us, from Thabit, from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Abi Layla, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, saw a rope stretched between two pillars and said, "What is this for?" They said, "It belongs to Hamnah bint Jahsh; when she becomes tired while praying, she holds onto it." He said, "Let her pray as long as she is able, and when she becomes tired, let her sit." Abd ar-Rahman told us, Hammad told us, from Humayd, from Anas, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, similarly.
