حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْخَيْرَ خَيْرُ الْآخِرَةِ أَوْ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ لَا خَيْرَ إِلَّا خَيْرُ الْآخِرَهْ فَاغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ فَكَانَ قَتَادَةُ يَقُولُ هَذَا فِي قَصَصِهِ.
English Translation
Hajjaj told us, he said: Shu'bah told me, he said: I heard Qatadah -- Anas ibn Malik told us -- that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to say: "Indeed the good is the good of the Hereafter" -- or he said: "O Allah, there is no good but the good of the Hereafter, so forgive the Ansar and the Emigrants." Shu'bah said: Qatadah used to say this in his storytelling sessions.
