حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا عَدْوَى وَلَا طِيَرَةَ وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ قَالُوا يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ مَا الْفَأْلُ قَالَ الْكَلِمَةُ الْحَسَنَةُ.
English Translation
Abd al-Wahhab told us, Hisham informed us, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik, that the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "There is no contagion and no evil omen, and I am delighted by a good omen." They said, "O Prophet of Allah, what is a good omen?" He said, "A good word."
