English Translation

Abd al-Samad told us, my father told us, Abd al-Aziz told us, from Anas, who said: While the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was in a palm grove of ours belonging to Abu Talhah, relieving himself, Bilal was walking behind him, out of honor for the Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, not walking beside him. The Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed by a grave and stood still until Bilal caught up with him, and said, "Woe to you, O Bilal, do you hear what I hear?" He said, "I do not hear anything." He said, "The occupant of this grave is being punished." He said: So it was asked about him, and he was found to have been a Jew.
