حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ قَالَتْ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ بِمَا مَاتَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ فَقَالُوا بِالطَّاعُونِ فَقَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الطَّاعُونُ شَهَادَةٌ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ.
English Translation
'Abd al-Samad narrated to us: Thabit narrated to us: 'Asim narrated to us, from Hafsa, who said: I asked Anas ibn Malik about what Ibn Abi 'Amra died of, and they said: "Of the plague." He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The plague is martyrdom for every Muslim."
