حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَثَلُ أُمَّتِي مَثَلُ الْمَطَرِ لَا يُدْرَى أَوَّلُهُ خَيْرٌ أَوْ آخِرُهُ حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ وَحُمَيْدٍ وَيُونُسَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَثَلُ أُمَّتِي فَذَكَرَهُ.
English Translation
Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us: Hammad ibn Yahya narrated to us: Thabit al-Bunani narrated to us, from Anas ibn Malik, from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "The likeness of my nation is like the rain; it is not known whether its beginning is better or its end." Hasan ibn Musa narrated to us: Hammad ibn Salama narrated to us, from Thabit, Humayd, and Yunus, from al-Hasan: that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The likeness of my nation..." and he mentioned it.
