حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَجُلٌ ضَخْمٌ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي لَا أَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ مَعَكَ فَلَوْ أَتَيْتَ مَنْزِلِي فَصَلَّيْتَ فَأَقْتَدِيَ بِكَ فَصَنَعَ الرَّجُلُ طَعَامًا ثُمَّ دَعَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَضَحَ طَرَفَ حَصِيرٍ لَهُمْ فَصَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ آلِ الْجَارُودِ لِأَنَسٍ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الضُّحَى قَالَ مَا رَأَيْتُهُ صَلَّاهَا إِلَّا يَوْمَئِذٍ حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ.
English Translation
Anas ibn Malik said: There was a large man who could not pray with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). He said to the Prophet: "I cannot pray with you. Would you come to my house and pray so that I can follow your example?" So the man prepared food and invited the Prophet. A corner of their mat was sprinkled with water, and the Prophet prayed two rak'ahs. A man from the family of al-Jarud asked Anas: "Did the Prophet used to pray the Duha prayer?" He said: "I never saw him pray it except on that day."
